Frequently Asked Questions

What is Permanent Makeup?

-Permanent makeup is a cosmetic procedure that involves implanting pigments into the skin to create makeup-like designs. It's also known as cosmetic tattooing. Permanent makeup results gradually fade over time, but some particles may remain in the skin indefinitely. Touch up appointments are typically needed every 12-18 months. Factors that can impact the longevity of results include sun exposure, skin type, and skin care routine.

Is Permanent Makeup the same as a tattoo?

-Tattoo ink is deposited into a deeper layer of the skin, making it permanent. Permanent makeup is deposited into a more superficial layer, allowing the pigment to fade over time.

Am I a candidate for Permanent Makeup?

-Not everyone is a candidate for Microblading. Please read the Microblading Restrictions found under the Microblading tab before making an appointment.

Does it hurt?

-A topical numbing cream is applied to the skin to make the procedure is as painless as possible. Microblading can be a little uncomfortable, but it's usually not very painful. The pain level depends on the individual's pain tolerance, and some say it feels like a light scratching or tweezing.
